6 months in the life of SPOT
Hello,
SPOT is now 6 months old and I am writing to you to keep you in the loop with all of the exciting things that we have been working on. Taking a break from doing PR for our wonderful clients we thought we would do a little bit of promotion for ourselves.
Above are some images of the fantastic live shoot that we did with fashion photographer Ellis Scott. Thank you to everyone that came down to the event, Ellis got some really great portraits from the day, some faces you may recognise. To see more of Ellis's work and the images from the live shoot, follow his blog here.
In July, we helped bespoke jeweller Milly Swire hold her first ever solo show at Cole Contemporary in Little Portland Street. As seen in the image above, Milly showed her amazing new collection named 'Liquid & Fallen Leaves'. Her jewels were displayed so beautifully in vintage suitcases filled with moss, upon glass perfume bottles and hung on a magnificent Magnolia tree. Guests sipped on delicious gin and tonics kindly supplied by Chase Distillery. Check out Milly Swire's website here where you can buy pieces from her collection that has recently been feature in Vogue's November Issue.
SPOT tranformed a disused restaurant in Kensington, to their showroom for one month in August. Our clients set up some wonderfull instillations of their work, we had puppets from TdlM, a fly-poster wall from Fanny and Jessy and an awesome wall illustration from Alex Mullins as seen above. Leigh at Style Canteen did an amazing feature on the pop-up showroom, click here to see it.
In July T d l M premiered a film by Camilla Robinson a vision of Olympian Gods and the capricious behavior of humans. The characters in the film are draped in the Spring/Summer 2011 collection from T d l M and as the Gods and Goddesses peer dreamily down upon us, the Olympian collection is brought to life in a visual spectacle. The premier took place at 203 Brompton Road, is the creative vision of Christopher Kelly the Creative Director of T d l M. The brand is known for innovative presentations of the T d l M collections and S/S 11 is no exception. The film was projected onto the ceiling, reminiscent of the Sistine Chapel playing on the theme of Gods and Goddesses. Dazed Digital did an awesome feature on TdlM's film, read it here.
Fanny and Jessy's SS11 collection named 'Watch this face!' was launched in a very interesting way in London Fashion Week. Self named label Fanny & Jessy introduced their S/S 2011 in an unusual campaign aimed at ambushing events throughout London. With the models dressed in the collection and masked as Fanny or Jessy they took themselves around parties and shows getting photographed by various well loved party paps. To request the lookbook of the full collection please let me know.
To celebrate the launch of their new online store, Braille screened a film of the collection throughout London Fashion Week on a mobile cinema that you may have seen driving from show to show, and party to party. The film was directed to show of the collection’s modernist lines, clean cuts and natural desert hues. Check out Braille's new online shop here, and take a look at the film of the SS11 collection here.
SPOT has some interesting projects lined up for the next 6 months too. If you would like further details about any of the above get in touch and if you would like to see how we can help you feel free to drop us a line.
Many thanks
